Hailing from Bolivia and Peru, these epic beasts sport the gun metal blue all over with reddish abdominal setae. They can reach well over 9 into 10″ country, and males are electric blue. They need high humidity, of at least 75%, and if not allowed to burrow, a retreat should be offered. Temps should be in the 72-86 range. They’re not the easiest species to reproduce, so the cheap prices I’m seeing these days are quite head-scratching. These are 5th instar, and are food junkies.
