Here we have a gem. Their habitat has been greatly reduced by the influx of out-of-staters moving in (guilty) but fortunately are found throughout Southern UT, Northern NV, and Western CO. You can still find a few in the Salt Lake City foothills, but the number has diminished greatly.
It’s an easy species to maintain, requiring only 72-80 and 65% humidity. They’re not always the nicest of tarantulas, so if you wish to handle them, see if they’re having a good day first.
