Hysterocrates gigas-Cameroon Red Baboon .75-1″

The H. gigas has come under a fair amount of scrutiny the last decade due to the profusion of similar looking Hysterocrates species found in Cameroon. Since these were sold to me as H. gigas, so that is what I will list them as. The H. gigas is a heavily bodied and deep burrowing species with a deep brown coloration with long reddish abdominal setae and red tarsi. They can hit nearly 8″ and are quite defensive. They need temps between 75-84 and humidity of 70-75%. They will also stress out if they’re not allowed to burrow.
