Nhandu chromatus-White Striped Birdeater 1″+

The N. chromatus has a rich taxonomic tapestry. It first hit US shores in 2001 as Vitalius cristatus. Then it became Lasiodora cristata, and finally Nhandu chromatus. It is a tri-colored beast with a beige carapace, bright red abdomen, and white banding and double white leg striping. No wonder it caused such a ruckus when it first hit. Now, they truly do hate everything, so don’t try to handle them. All of their 6.5″ will rise up with absolute rage. They also have incredibly itchy urticating hair. They’re extremely easy to keep though. Temps from 72-86 and humidity of 70%.
