Oh me, oh my did these ever cause a stir a few years back when they hit the US market! Granted, the price has become a bit more reasonable, but they are still among the most sought after of the baboon tarantulas due to their gorgeous coloration. Black and olive hues sure, but also a golden wash, dark femurs and starburst carapace? Yes please! They also top out at about 4″ and are prolific burrowers. They fear nothing and are quick, so complacency needs to go elsewhere. Temps of 75-84 with 60% humidity does an E. olivacea like.
