Scolopendra heros arizonensis-Sonoran Giant Centipede 4.25″

These remain the apple of many a centipede keeper’s eye, the S. heros arizonensis. You won’t hear me debating it, as it has the glorious orange trunk, yellow legs and black head and black tail. They’re among the most recognizable and desirable of the centipedes for those reasons, and for their 8″ and above length. There is a locality in SE AZ where the S. heros arizonensis get a foot long. Yes I’m serious, yes I’ve personally seen the specimens, no I won’t tell you where exactly they are found. Some secrets should remain whispered. Employ a moderate approach to all things. Temp about 72-78; not too hot, not too cold. Humidity around 60-65% and do not overfeed them. Yes they will eat as often as you feed them, but you will end up killing them if you feed them like a Saturday at your Grandma’s. Do I have to mention they will bite the crap out of you? I guess, as nobody researches anymore.
