After a brief taxonomic revision, the species formerly known as Holothele incei is now Neoholothele incei. New Holothele, you say…..why not. Anyway, this variation of the N. incei is the traditional one, having the golden/olive legs, full olive carapace, and the gold and brown striped abdomen. The babies look like they’re wearing socks and are quite dark. They grow fast and eat anything they can overpower. They’re not overly defensive towards their human keepers, but are quick and nervous. Keep them between 75-84 with humidity of 70% and allow room to burrow or create a retreat. For what it’s worth, I prefer this variant to the all golden variety.
